Updated Foundation Routine

November 6, 2014

I still like my mineral powder from The Body Shop, but I wanted something with a little more coverage that I could apply quickly (sleep is very important). I did some research and decided to go with the Revlon Colorstay Foundation for Combination/Oily skin in the shade Ivory. I LOVE this stuff.

I apply it with a damp Beauty Blender (mine is a knockoff from TJ Maxx and it works great) and set with the Palladio Rice Powder in Transluscent. This combination of products has done a great job at controlling the oil on my face and reducing shine. Since my oil is controlled, my breakouts are controlled and I am praising The Lord for that. My makeup looks just as flawless at the end of the day as it did when I put it on. I highly recommend both of these products, especially if you have oily skin. Target has a similar sponge that can be found here.

If you’re searching for a new foundation and full coverage, lightweight, and staying power are on your list, you definitely need to check this one out. I will say that it’s a tad pricey for a drugstore brand, but it’s still cheaper than high end and works just as well.
