I get so excited when magazines release their huge spring issues. I pick them up and dive right into to reading what the trends are for both fashion and beauty. One of my favorite fashion magazines is People StyleWatch. I love this one because they always have an affordable option for whatever they’re showcasing. If I see something in there, I can actually go buy it unlike in Vogue where everything is $2382398.
The beauty trends listed in the March issue of People StyleWatch were nude lips, bold liner (eyes), cool braids, and neutral nails. As always, you can incorporate these trends into your routine as you wish.
I love bold lips, but occasionally I’ll wear a nude shade. I have some great nude colors in my collection so maybe I’ll bust them out a little more frequently. I have been LOVING wearing a colored eyeshadow smudged along my lower lash line recently and I love that colored eyeliners are on the rise. I think they are so fun! If colors aren’t your thing, try a thicker line, cat eye, or wing with your regular black eye liner. The great thing about braids, is they can be worn on almost any type of hair, no matter the length. I have shorter hair, but I love to braid my bangs. It gets them out of my face and adds a little something extra. It’s so funny that neutral nails are a spring trend because I have been obsessed with neutral shades lately. My BFF used to love neutrals and I would always laugh at her and ask why she even bothered painting her nails a color that barely showed up. Well the tables have turned! When it comes to nail polish, I never shy away from color and don’t have that many neutral shades in my collection. I like neutral shades with a more pink undertone, but there are tons of options available. Essie is a great brand for neutral shades.
