Kat Von D Lock It Concealer Creme
–$26 for 0.22 oz
–20 shades + a white concealer
–24 hour wear
–No parabens, sulfates, phthalates
–Only available at Sephora, sephora.com, katvondbeauty.com
I have the lightest shade in both concealers. Tarte Shape Tape in Fair and Kat Von D in L1. Also, by no light, I mean normal, regular light. Nothing special. No light may insinuate darkness, but not in this case. It’s late when I’m writing this. Jesus take the wheel, eh keyboard.
I drew on my hand with a Sharpie to test the coverage. I blended both out with a damp sponge. As you can see, the Kat Von D covers better.
–The applicator size is very different
–Tarte is Ulta exclusive, KVD is Sephora exclusive so you have to go to one of those stores or order online
–The color range is very different. Fair shade concealers usually work for me, but I’ve never been ever to use a lighter shade to highlight because I was already wearing the lightest shade. KVD saved the day and I finally have a concealer shade that is light enough to use for highlighting.
–I actually use both of these every day.
–I think they work best when blended out with a damp beauty sponge.
–Using these 2 with the RCMA No Color Powder gives me a bright undereye and completely covers my dark circles.
I don’t think one is better than the other. I like both of them and would (and will) repurchase both.
I am now realizing this post may not have been helpful, but maybe you learned something!
